The Power of Taking the First Step

The decision to earn a GED is about more than completing high school, it’s about opening doors that were once closed. For three recent Cisco College graduates, a GED was the first step toward college, new careers, and a renewed confidence in themselves. Frederick Moreira, Cinnamon Mathews, and Nickishia Walker came to Cisco College all having finished the Alta Vista GED program. Their backgrounds were vastly different, but they shared one common goal—to invest in their futures. For each student, a better future began with just one decision.

Cisco College Announces December Graduations

January 22, 2026

Cisco College awarded a total of 210 associate degrees and career certifications to students who completed their programs in December 2025. Graduates earned their credentials through programs offered at the main campus in Cisco and the Abilene Education Center. In December 2024, there were 156 awards, marking an increase of 54, or 26%.

Cisco College Awarded Humanities Grant

January 22, 2026

Cisco College has been awarded a Humanities Texas rural grant for $2,500 for revitalizing the Spider Rock Exhibit. Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, supports this program.
