Madisyn Arnette, from Mildred High School, has signed with the Lady Wrangler's Volleyball Team for Fall 2019.


Cisco College welcomes Sydney Davidson

Sydney has signed to play volleyball at Cisco College beginning in Fall 2019. She is a 6'0" All-State Middle Blocker from Bryson High School.


AT&T Volunteers help Cisco College Food Pantry

December 5, 2018

Several AT&T volunteers, led by Alice Andrade, prepared 25 boxes of food items for the Cisco College Food Pantry to give away for Thanksgiving. They added a gift card in each box so the students could buy a turkey or chicken to go with their Thanksgiving dinner. This group has been preparing boxes for the last 6 years for our students in need. Each box had everything needed to prepare a meal or two. They also added Thanksgiving plates, napkins and plastic ware.

Cisco College has also received 5 grants from AT&T Care grant programs. This money, as well as other grants and donations and several food drives, help sustain the Food Pantry. Our Nursing Department has also had several food drives at Thanksgiving over the years.


Cisco College Partners with McMurry to form Student Research Teams

Cisco is Partnering to Encourage to encourage more students to get involved in high-quality STEM learning opportunities. Cisco currently has a research team studying the development of biofermentors to generate biofuel. The team is working to Optimize efficiency for a process that can minimize the carbon footprint. The team will present their findings this Spring at the McMurry Research festival!

24 Cisco College Athletes Earn NJCAA Student Athlete Awards

The Cisco College athletic department is pleased to recognize 24 students who received an NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award for the 2017-2018 school year.

In order to qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain a minimum of 3.60 GPA. To be awarded first team honors, the student-athlete must have a perfect 4.0 GPA. Second team honors require a 3.8-3.99 GPA, while third team honors requires a 3.6-3.79 GPA.

Cisco College and West Texas Workforce Solutions Partner to Offer Valuable Internship Opportunities Through New Program

Thanks to a grant from the new “Texas Talent Connection” program, Cisco College is pleased to announce a new partnership with West Central Texas Workforce Solutions in Abilene that will offer valuable internship opportunities to local students.

$92,998 was awarded to West Central Texas Workforce Solutions in Abilene for agriculture, industrial, automotive, energy and manufacturing internships.

Cisco College Rodeo Team Member wins National Calf Roping Championship

It’s been 43 years since a member of the Cisco College Rodeo Team last won a National Championship, but Freshman Ty Harris has just ended that streak.Harris beat out dozens of the Nation’s top competitors to bring home the Title of National Champion in Tie Down Roping from the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.

Harris has been roping since the age of four, and was looking forward to the tough competition he knew he would face at the CNFR.

New and Returning Regents Take Oaths of Office

Two returning members and one new member of the Cisco College Board of Regents took their oaths of office during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Regents on Monday, June 11. Justice John Bailey presided.

Ronnie Ledbetter and Joe Jarvis return to serve on the Board or Regents after running unopposed in the May 2018 election. Mr. Matt Johnson joins the Board of Regents to fill the seat vacated by Ms. Sarah Adams.

Cisco College Rodeo Sends Four Students to College National Finals Rodeo

Four Cisco College Rodeo athletes will be making their way to Casper, Wyoming later this month to participate in the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR.)

The CNFR is the best of the best in college rodeo where the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association crowns individual event champions in saddle bronc riding, bare back riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, ream roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and goat tying. More than 400 cowboys and cowgirls from hundreds of colleges and universities compete in Casper each year, and this year four Cisco College students will be among them.
