Loan Disbursment & Refund Dates

Students must be enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at Cisco College each semester in order to receive their disbursements (loan money). Failure to do so will result in the loan funds being returned to the lender and remainder of the loan canceled. Loans will not be reinstated after cancellation due to dropping below half-time even if student is reinstated in classes.

*PLEASE NOTE - A disbursement date is the day a school receives loan funds.  Not to be confused with the refund date when any remaining funds will be issued to the student.

The first disbursement each semester will be after the 12th class day for returning borrowers and after the 30th class day for 1st time borrowers.


Fall Loan period is August 29, 2017 - December 16, 2017

Spring Loan period is January 17, 2018 - May 12, 2018


The Disbursement dates for FIRST TIME borrowers are:

FALL SEMESTER:

  • 1st disbursement - October 9th 2017
  • 2nd disbursement - November 10th 2017

SPRING SEMESTER:

  • 1st disbursement - March 1st 2018
    • 2nd disbursement - April 13th 2018

*After the school receives the disbursement on the dates above, the business office has 14 days to credit your account.


The Disbursement dates for RETURNING borrowers are:

FALL SEMESTER:

  • 1st disbursement - September 15th 2017 
  • 2nd disbursement - November 10th 2017

SPRING SEMESTER:

  • 1st disbursement - February 2nd  2018 -receive by February 15th 2018
  • 2nd disbursement - April 13th 2018- receive by April 26th 2018

*After the school receives the disbursement on the dates above, the business office has 14 days to credit your account.


PELL GRANTS

Any remaining Pell Grant funds are not refunded to the student until after 60% of class time has been completed.  

60% date for FALL SEMESTER: October 31, 2017 
Funds will be in sent out by November 14, 2017 if there is a refund.

60% date for SPRING: March 29, 2018
Funds will be sent out by April 12, 2018 if there is a refund.
