Admissions
Cisco College is an open-enrollment institution; however there are some steps you will need to follow in order to enroll in classes:
- Complete the application.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Talk to a counselor about testing.
- Attend CARGO (The Cisco College orientation).
- Select classes from the course schedule.
- Register online when eligible.
- Make payment by deadline.
Transfer Students
- Complete the application
- Print, complete, and return the residency questionnaire
- Send official transcript(s) from previous college(s) or university(ies) to Cisco College.
International Students
For those students who are not U.S. citizens, the following requirements are necessary for acceptance to Cisco College. To enroll in Cisco College, all international applicants (including international transfer students) must have all the following items on file in Office of Admissions before an I-20 will be issued according to the following deadlines:
- July 15 for the Fall semester
- November 15 for the Spring semester
- April 15 for the Summer semester
International Application for admission (International students may not apply online prior to acceptance to Cisco College. Please complete this application and indicate which campus you will attend.)
- Health insurance.
- First-time student $250 non-refundable application fee, which must be paid upon acceptance and prior to the first day of class.
- Certificate of Health that verifies freedom from infectious diseases, including tuberculosis, by proper test records and records of immunization for: diptheria (within 10 years), tetanus (within 10 years), poliomyelitis (types I, II and III), mumps, measles, rubella and meningitis.
- Official copies of secondary school record and official transcripts from all colleges attended.
- Confirmation of Financial Resources Form and financial evidence of USD $15,000 (such as a bank statement or letter from the bank). Both documents must not be older than six (6) months at the time you begin classes.
- If English is not your native language, the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required. Website: www.ets.org/toefl Score report minimum scores: Paper Based Test – 525; Computer Test – 197; Interest Test – 45. Institution Code: 3553.
- Any documentation showing proof of dependants (if applicable).
- A copy of the front page of your passport showing your name, country of origin and the expiration date of the passport.
- Statement of Understanding must be signed and returned to Office of Admissions.
Students applying within the U.S. must submit the following items in addition to those listed above:
- A copy of your visa.
- A copy of your I-94 card (front and back).
- A copy of your current I-20 (all three pages).
- An Advisor’s Report completed by your current International Student Advisor.
International Students Concurrently Enrolled in Another College/University
International students who are enrolled full-time at another college/university and who have SEVIS records that are maintained by that institution but wish to concurrently enroll in courses at Cisco College will need to submit the following documents to the International Student Liaison in order to register for courses at Cisco College:
- Official transcript from current college/university
- Statement of Understanding
- Copies of current I-20, passport and F-1 visa.
If you do not have a social security number, an institutional identification number will be issued upon receipt of the aformentioned documents.
