Steps to Enroll-New Students

Cisco College is an open enrollment institution, however there are some steps you will need to take before you can enroll in classes.

  1. Complete the application.
  2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Students under the age of 22 must submit proof of bacterial meningitis vaccination. Documents may be emailed to the Admissions Specialist or faxed to the Cisco campus at 254-442-1449 or to the Abilene Campus at 325-692-2530.
    1. Exceptions:
      A student is not required to submit evidence of receiving the bacterial meningitis vaccination or evidence of a booster dose if the student meets the age exemption or if the student is enrolled only in online or other distance education courses (students enrolled in only online courses must submit the exemption form). A student is not required to submit evidence of the bacterial meningitis vaccination if the following are submitted:
      1. An affidavit or a certificate signed by a physician who is duly registered and licensed to practice medicine in the United States, in which it is stated that, in the physician’s opinion, the required vaccination would be injurious to the health and well-being of the student; or
      2. Students enrolling in public junior colleges wishing to claim an exemption for reasons of conscience should complete the online form (under the heading "Obtaining an Affidavit for Community College or Public Junior College") available at the Texas DSHS website. After entering all the requested information, students print the form, sign and date it, and submit the form when registering for courses. Students may obtain the form by visiting the Texas Department of Health Services website.
  4. Talk to a counselor about testing.
  5. Submit an official high school transcript or GED scores. Click here for information on home school transcripts. Foreign credentials must be accompanied by an official general evaluation completed by a current member of NACES- www.naces.org. Evaluation must indicate the applicant has completed the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma. Unofficial copies of evaluations will not be accepted.   6. Select classes from the course schedule.
  7. Register online when eligible.
  8. Make payment by deadline.

Steps to Transfer to Cisco College
