Ready to begin a career in Child Development?

The Child Development Associate credential has many benefits for all early childhood professionals and puts you on track for a rewarding career. In addition, the Child Development Associate program allows you to receive 9 credit hours towards a certificate or associate degree in the Child Development program at Cisco College.

How to get started:

  1. You must apply to Cisco College.
  2. The Child Development Associate (CDA) program includes 120 hours of early childhood training. There will be 80 hours of classroom training and an additional commitment to complete 40 hours of on-the-job practical application including activity documentation.
  3. The tuition fee is $500. All costs will be covered via a scholarship provided by Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas to those that qualify.
  4. Who can participate? Caregivers who currently meet minimum requirements of the CDA Council to be eligible to take the CDA test, and are willing to actively participate in CDA certification from the council.
  5. Application deadline is January 22, 2024.

Mandatory information and application meeting - January 18, 2024 at 6:30 PM in room 155 of the Abilene campus.

January 29, 2024 - May 23, 2024
