  • Strategic Forecasting - Methods for Facing Wrenching Change

    November 28 & 29, 2023 | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Cisco College Abilene Campus - Room 152

In a world of change, futures are plural. Change is occurring in our lives at an exponential rate, so much so, that technologies created today are legacy in less than two years. In the future, today’s second grade students will be applying for jobs that don’t exist today. With the infusion of technology within almost every discipline, how does one keep up, let alone cope with this constant barrage of change?

These two, back-to-back sessions will focus on strategic forecasting (NOT strategic planning), definitions, and strategies that help leaders plan for change rather than just react to it. These same strategies can be applied to our personal lives.

In the first session, participants will learn about domains, archetypes, scenario building, back casting, pre-mortems and how to carry weak signals into actionable strategies. In the second session with tools and guidance, participants will create their own business or personal plan for the future.
