Cisco College will celebrate 75 years at the Homecoming festivities October 24, 2015. The celebration starts at the Student Union Building (SUB) with a reception and registration from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The bookstore and library will be open during this time. The Homecoming game, Texas A&T vs. Cisco College starts at 1:00 p.m. at Chesley Field.  A dinner will be held at the SUB from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a dance to follow. All alumni, students, families and the community are invited to the game and the 75 year celebration. See Poster.
The Cisco College Meat Judging team started off the Fall 2015 judging season by competing at Beef Empire Days held at Garden City Community College in Garden City, KS. The team will head to Omaha, NE to compete in the American Royal on 10/18/2015. Full story.
Cisco College has a long history of publishing the news – however the college has not published a paper since the last edition of The Branding Iron in 2008.The Branding Iron was published from 1949-2008, and previous to this, The Wrangler was published from 1941-1942. Recently, a creative group of students decided it was time to give the school and the Big Country community another glimpse into the many vibrant happenings in the Land of the Wranglers. The Wrangler Express reporters are now off chasing stories for the first edition of the newspaper, which will be published this fall. . Full Story
A popcorn party greeted AEC students on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, as Cisco College faculty and staff popped corn and served up snacks and drinks to students. The Food Pantry, open from 10 am to 2 pm every Wednesday throughout the semester, provides food and basic hygiene items to Cisco College students who need a help with nutritional and household necessities. The only requirement for assistance is a Cisco College student ID.
The Cisco College Board of Regents has accepted the resignation of President Bobby Smith, effective January 4, 2016. President Smith plans to retire after more than 40 years of diverse involvement with the college. He plans to continue to serve the college over the next few months as he assists in handing off his responsibilities to someone he hopes will bring "a fresh perspective and outlook to Cisco College.
