The Campus Safety Department was started in the summer of 2007 to help provide a safe working and learning environment for students, faculty and staff. The department will assist both the Cisco campus and Abilene Educational Center(AEC) in meeting this goal.
It is the intention of the department to meet this goal with health and safety planning and with training at both facilities for students, faculty and staff. For specific information about lab safety, click on the following link to read the Cisco College Lab Safety Manual.
The Campus Safety Department will also provide security staffing at the Cisco Campus and assist the contract security staff at the AEC. The department does not replace other emergency response organizations; we work with them to enhance their ability to provide service to our campus communities.
Cisco College has adopted the use of an emergency notification system. The system will notify employees, students and staff in emergency situations or weather-related closings.
