Credit by Examination
Cisco College recognizes credit by examination for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), the Advance Placement Program (AP) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). Students that score high enough on select exams may receive credit for coursework at Cisco College. Other institutions have varying policies on accepting credit by examination so a student wishing to transfer this credit to another institution needs to check with that institution regarding their policy. Click here for a full listing of credit by examination opportunities.

Personal Counseling
Counselors are available to provide short-term assistance to help students address issues that may be hindering them in succeeding in college. There is no charge for this service but this counseling is limited in nature and length, and in some cases a student will be referred to community resources to better address their issues, such as City of Cisco or InfoAbilene.

Testing
Cisco College is a test site for the Accuplacer and GED. Counselors also assist in administering correspondence and Virtual College of Texas exams. To make an appointment with an exam proctor please call (254) 442-5022 for the Cisco Campus or (325) 794-4400 for the Abilene Educational Center.

Transfer Information
Both locations have full-time counselors available year-round to draw up degree plans, provide university and college requirements and to assist in setting up course plans and schedules for students. Catalogs and admission information is maintained on most colleges and universitites in Texas for students to browse during regular hours. Check out these sites for more info:

Special Populations
It is the policy of Cisco College to identify and provide services to students qualifying as "Special Student Populations." Defined by Federal law, these populations include students with disabilities, students who are economically or educationally disadvantaged, and students with limited English proficiency. Services for qualified individuals may include appropriate educational accommodations, childcare assistance, travel assistance, community referrals and job placement. A student who meets the definition of a "Special Population" student should contact the Special Populations Coordinator at their location:
