Save the date for the 3rd Annual C5 Conference. The inaugural conference was held May 19-21, 2011 in Cisco. It was a great success with 56 participants from 18 different institutions and organizations participating. During the 2012 conference, approximately 165 participants discussed changes to the Core.The upcoming 2013 conference will be held in Abilene, at Cisco College's Abilene Educational Center. The cost of the conference is $150 per attendee, with an additional $30 charge for the pre-conference institute.
Conference topics will include teaching techniques in the following core areas:
• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills
• Empirical & Quantitative Skills
• Personal & Social Responsibility
• Assessing the (New) Core

We are pleased to announce our recommended conference hotel for this year’s C5 event--the McM Elegante!

Conference activities begin Wednesday afternoon, May 15th, with the pre-conference institute. A welcome reception will be held at the McM Elegante from 5 to 7 pm. A hot breakfast will be provided at the hotel on Thursday and Friday mornings, and presentations will begin at the Abilene Center around 9 each day. Presentations will conclude by 4 pm both days, and we are planning a meal and entertainment Thursday evening.
Your conference registration covers the welcome reception, lunch Thursday & Friday, and dinner Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Because our hotel partners have offered such a generous rate for the duration of your stay, we do hope you’ll consider coming a little early or staying a little late in order to enjoy the great city of Abilene.
