Coach Faith Thurman

Faith Thurman is beginning her first season with the Cisco Wranglers. She was a four year letter for Arlington High School in Arlington,   TX, earning 1st Team All-District accolades as well as two consecutive “Keeper of the Year” awards in her time there. She then went on to play at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas earning 1st and 2nd Team All-Conference accolades. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine in 2013. Upon graduation she was offered the assistant coaching position at JBU where she also worked to obtain a Master’s degree in Leadership and Ethics. In her time coaching at JBU, she helped coach her team to record breaking awards. They won the title the first year, which happened to be the first SAC Conference Tournament title for JBU, sending them to the 2013 NAIA National Tournament to face Concordia University in California. It was also during the 2013 season that she helped coach JBU’s sophomore goalkeeper to an NAIA All-American Award. The 2014 season did not end in the same manner; they once again made it to conference final but fell short in the final minutes of the match.

After graduating with her Master’s in December of 2014, she moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to assist at Fayetteville High School. She helped coach them to the 7A state final match in 2015, coming up short in final minutes of the game, and also to a semi-finalist finish in 2016.

Faith has just moved back to Texas and is residing in Cisco. She is very excited to begin this new journey with the Cisco Wranglers.
