Agriculture Department

The Agriculture Department offers courses from a variety of agriculture fields of study including Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Dairy Science, Horticulture, Livestock Evaluation, Marketing of Agriculture Products, Plant Protection, Poultry Science, and Wildlife Conservation and Management.  Detailed information for each course is located in Course Descriptions


Dual Credit
Cisco College is NOW offering DUAL CREDIT, ONLINE and traditional agriculture courses.  Agriculture DUAL CREDIT is a great option for students seeking a fourth science, or for students pursuing a degree in Agriculture who would like to receive college credit while still in High School.  Detailed information for DUAL CREDIT can be found on the Cisco College main page under DUAL CREDIT.


Degree Plan
Cisco College offers an Associate of Arts Degree in Agriculture.  Any student interested in pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Agriculture should use the Degree Plan provided as a guideline.  Courses offered by Cisco College are accredited courses and will transfer to universities as freshmen and sophomore level courses.

Admission Requirements
Applicants for admission to this program must fulfill the general requirements for admission to the college.  The procedure for seeking admission to the college follows:

1.  Complete application to the college.
2.  Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (
FAFSA).
3.  Talk to a counselor about testing.

Prospective students should also remember that acceptance by Cisco College does not guarantee admission into specific occupational programs. Additional factors considered for admission may be a satisfactory record in high school or college, placement tests and other criteria.
